Qualifications
Alan has been guiding and advising clients since becoming a Qualified Financial Advisor in 1991.
During his career, Alan has held key positions in several financial services companies. He has also been a long-time associate of the Institute of Irish Pension Managers.
A believer in upskilling and personal development, Alan holds the Pension Trustee Practitioner (PTP) qualification.
At work
Alan is a Director at emero Insurance and specialises in estate planning and protecting wealth for company owners and directors.
Alan started in the financial services industry in 1991 working for Irish Pensions Trust/Mercer.
In 2000, he joined L&P Financial Trustees as head of Business Development.
In 2007 they Merged with Invesco, where he was subsequently appointed Client Services Director in charge of numerous large corporate and individual clients alike.
Then, in 2010, Alan joined Reade Pensions in pension and investment services handling a large portfolio of individual and corporate clients. Alan is currently Managing Partner there with assets under management of over 300 million.
- Alan Regularly lectured for the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland in the past on all aspects of financial planning.
- Alan Regularly lectured as well for the Bar Society (law) in the past on pension and investment planning.
- Alan Sat on the executive committee for Brokers Ireland from 2016 to 2020.
Alan is passionate about personal protection. He believes it is the foundation of financial planning. With over 30 years of experience as a financial planner, he believes it is crucial to protect your ‘most important assets’, your business, and your income.
